• The Echo 45 is 2.40 inches wide; Titan's Economy 45 is 2.91 inches. Every plate is thinner on the Rogue side, and that adds up when you load heavy.
• Rogue holds Echo plates to plus or minus 1% of claimed weight. Titan lists plus or minus 3%. On a 45, that's up to about 0.45 lb off versus up to about 1.35 lb.
• Echo plates use stainless steel inserts and 88-durometer virgin rubber. Titan lists rubber with a steel insert and doesn't give a durometer.
• The real gap is small. The 230 lb Echo set is $520 and Titan's 230 lb set is $464.97, both with free shipping.
