Rogue Ohio Bar vs. REP Fitness Colorado Bar
Not that
Colorado Bar - 20kg
REP Fitness
$299.99
For $65 more, the Ohio is made in the USA and its lifetime warranty covers bending. That's the bar you buy once.
Prices checked October 26, 2026. The Ohio Bar - Cerakote in stock at Rogue Fitness as of October 26, 2026.
Why the coach picked it
- Rogue says the Ohio's lifetime warranty covers construction and bending. REP's covers defects in material, functionality and workmanship, says nothing about bending, and lists 'abusive dropping of the bar' as negligent use that can void it. Its examples include dropping a loaded bar on pins, a bench or concrete.
- On paper they're near twins: 28.5 mm shaft, 190,000 PSI tensile, dual knurl marks, no center knurl. The difference is who stands behind it.
- Rogue makes the Ohio in the USA. REP's page doesn't say where the Colorado is made, and Garage Gym Reviews says REP imports its equipment from China.
- Rogue gives the Cerakote Ohio an F8-R rating on its page, so you know what the finish is built to take.
- The gap is $65: $365 for the Cerakote Ohio, $299.99 for the Colorado.
When the other one is the right call
Buy the Colorado if you lift early in a shared house and want REP's composite bushings, which it says cut noise on drops, or if $65 is the difference between a bar and a bar plus collars.
